tvatsaṅgamānnanu sakṛdvidhisaṃprayuktā śuddhiṃ parāmadhijagāma śivatvahetum |
raṅgādhirājapadarakṣiṇi kīdṛśī sā gaṅgā babhūva bhavadīyagatāgatena ||

Was it not through contact with you once, when dispatched by Brahmā, / that the Gaṅgā attained supreme purity, the cause of auspiciousness? / O foot-guard of the Sovereign of Raṅgam, what must she have become / through your continuous coming and going?
