devo'parāhṇe madhuhogradhanvā
sāyaṃ tridhāmāvatu mādhavo mām .
doṣe hṛṣīkeśa utārdharātre
niśītha eko'vatu padmanābhaḥ .. 21..

May the Lord, the slayer of Madhu with His fierce bow, protect me in the afternoon;
may Mādhava, residing in three abodes, protect me in the evening;
Hṛṣīkeśa in the early night, and at midnight
may the sole Padmanābha protect me in the dead of night. 21.
