ŚĀ 10.1: Now therefore [the rite] relating to the self. They call it the inner agnihotra. These deities are established in the person: Agni in speech, Vāyu in breath, Āditya in sight, the moon in the mind, the quarters of space in hearing, the waters in semen. An oblation is offered into all these when one who knows thus eats and drinks, and causes [others] to eat and drink. He eats, he drinks, he is satisfied, and he satisfies [others].
