ŚĀ 12.7
Overcome, O Indra, the haters; overcome the foes; overcome those who wage battle! / As an elephant with its front feet, trample upon those who fight! ||31
Hither has come this amulet of bilva wood, bull-like, destroyer of rivals; / the poets, whose heroes are whole, behold it, so that they may overcome their rivals in battle. ||32
Untwisted is the thread on my amulet; let the two Aśvins bind it fast! / Made of bilva wood, you possess a thousand potencies; may I, your bearer, suffer no harm! ||33
Smeared with clarified butter, full of honey, rich in milk, winning wealth, supporting, sustaining, / breaking rivals and casting them low: mount upon me for great good fortune! ||34
O Prajāpati, no other than you has encompassed all these creatures. / With whatever desire we offer to you, let that be ours; may we be lords of riches! ||35
[The hymn beginning] "Rule indeed, great thou art" consists of five verses.
