They undertake this twenty-first day, the Viṣuvant [equinox day], in the middle of the year. By this twenty-first [day] the gods raised Āditya up to the heavenly world. This one here is twenty-first [from either side]. Ten days of the Divākīrtya [period] are before it, ten after it; this twenty-first one is in the middle, founded on the virāj on both sides, for it is indeed founded on the virāj on both sides. Therefore, as he moves between these worlds, he does not waver. The gods feared that Āditya would fall down from the heavenly world; they propped him up from below with three heavenly worlds. The three stomas are indeed heavenly worlds. They feared his passing beyond; they propped him up from beyond with three heavenly worlds. The three stomas are indeed heavenly worlds. Thus there are three seventeen-fold [stomas] below, three beyond; this twenty-first one is in the middle, held by the Svarasāman days on both sides, for he is indeed held by the Svarasāman days on both sides. Therefore, as he moves between these worlds, he does not waver. The gods feared that Āditya would fall down from the heavenly world; they propped him up from below with the highest heavenly worlds. The highest heavenly worlds are indeed the stomas. They feared his passing beyond; they propped him up from beyond with the highest heavenly worlds. The highest heavenly worlds are indeed the stomas. Thus there are three seventeen-fold [stomas] below, three beyond; combining two by two, they become three thirty-four-fold [stomas]. The thirty-four-fold is indeed the highest of the stomas. Set upon them, he shines here; for set upon them, he indeed shines here. He is indeed higher than all this, past and future; he outshines all whatever is here, and he becomes higher. Higher than whatever he desires to be higher than becomes he who knows this.
