Now then, concerning the announcement of the consecration.
Regarding this, they say:
'When they announce the consecration of a consecrated brāhmaṇa with "The brāhmaṇa has been consecrated,"
how should one announce that of a kṣatriya?'
Just as they announce the consecration of a consecrated brāhmaṇa with:
'The brāhmaṇa has been consecrated,'
even so should one announce that of a kṣatriya, by the ṛṣi-lineage of his royal chaplain.
That is certainly so.
For having laid aside his own weapons, equipped with the weapons of brahman,
having assumed the form of brahman, having become brahman, he turns toward the sacrifice.
Therefore, they should announce his consecration by the ṛṣi-lineage of his royal chaplain,
and they should choose his ancestral invocation by the ṛṣi-lineage of his royal chaplain.
