One whose mind has departed should use the two Manāryas of Gotama.
From Gotama indeed mind departed.
He desired: 'May my mind not depart; may mind enter me again.'
He saw these two sāmans.
With them he praised.
Then mind entered him again; mind did not depart from him.
Mind enters him again; mind does not depart from him who knows thus.
The Rathantara sāman has 'pibā'; the Bṛhat sāman has 'pibāī'.
Because Gotama saw them, therefore they are called the two Manāryas of Gotama.
