Now this is the Ekatrika.
One who is desirous of propagation should sacrifice with this.
Prajāpati desired, 'May I be multiplied with offspring and cattle, may I obtain this individual attainment.'
He saw this sacrifice.
He brought it.
With it he sacrificed.
He considered: 'With what shall I praise?'
He saw himself.
With that he praised. He considered: 'With what now shall I praise?'
He saw the out-breath, the in-breath, and the diffused breath.
With them he praised.
He with himself, he with the out-breath, the in-breath, and the diffused breath; he with himself, he with the out-breath, the in-breath, and the diffused breath—in just this alternating way he completed the sacrifice.
Then indeed he was multiplied with offspring and cattle; he who knows this obtains this individual attainment.
