— and what was the sacrificial post was just this neck of the vīṇā;
and what were the ropes were just these bindings of the vīṇā;
and what was the droṇakalaśa vessel was just this sounding-board of the vīṇā;
and what was the pressing-hide was just this skin of the vīṇā;
and what were the sound-holes were just these cavities of the vīṇā;
and what were the pressing-stones were just these plectrums of the vīṇā;
and what were the seven meters increasing by four syllables were just these seven strings of the vīṇā;
and what were the stomas at the ten-day rite were just these ten fingers.
Therefore they say: "Nowadays there is no conflicting pressing;
for he who was the second sacrifice dried up;
there is only one sacrifice:
Prajāpati is the sacrifice alone."
