Now this Agniṣṭoma with three stomas: one desirous of a firm foundation should undertake this. In this regard they say: 'He who is consecrated departs, as it were, from this world.' In that it has three stomas—these worlds are indeed three—he is firmly established in these very worlds. Moreover, this sacrificial rite is truly named 'Support'. Its pṛṣṭha is the Rathantara. King Abhipratārin did not sacrifice with this; he made it end only with a two-night rite. A Brahmin said to him: 'The Kurus will win Kurukṣetra away [from you]; take only offspring, not lands.' Those very Kurus wander having won away Kurukṣetra; these Sālvas are in Kurukṣetra. That Agniṣṭoma with three stomas is undertaken for the very support of the lands.
