With three pañcadaśas they settled in succession. With just one trivṛt they cleared this atmosphere world; with three saptadaśas they settled in succession. With just one trivṛt they cleared that world; with three ekaviṃśas they settled in succession. Just as one goes making level behind whatever is uneven of a made path, even so the Rudras went. Then the Ādityas went along a made path with four trivṛts, four pañcadaśas, three saptadaśas, [and] one ekaviṃśa. Then the Aṅgirases went separately with three trivṛts, [three] pañcadaśas, three saptadaśas, [and] three ekaviṃśas, [by means of] the Virāj-Svarāj. The Maruts went with the triṇava. Vigor is vital power; the Maruts are vigor [and] vital power; the triṇava [stoma] is theirs; therefore they went by means of vigor [and] vital power. The All-Gods went with the trayastriṃśa. Having gone to the heavenly world, they were unsettled together. They desired: 'May we also sit in the firmament, in the heavenly world.'
