Holding on to this, indeed, they go—to Indra, to Prajāpati, to the inspired seer, to the abode, to the seasonal cup, to the All-Gods, to the heavenly world.
Following his course, indeed, they turn around.
Following his course, indeed, they turn around; following his unyoking, they are unyoked.
There is this censure of it: that in the waning [half of the month] they arrive at the soma pressing, in the waning [half] they attain the conclusion.
They should perform twelve consecrations and three upasads.
Thereby they attain both of these.
Concerning this they also say: 'Even thereby they attain both of these.'
That, however, is a censure: that without rejoicing in the waters, they go down to the purificatory bath in winter.
Cold, as it were, brings agitation.
If someone were to curse them having done so: 'They will become this or that,' they would indeed become so.
Five or six days after that new moon of Phālguna, they should be consecrated.
He who goes by the path of a superior [thinking], 'He went by this [way], he went by this [way],' does not come to harm; they go by the path of a superior, that of the Āditya; unwounded, they attain the conclusion in safety; they go where this Āditya goes; having gone there, they return again by his very path.
