Now, of this Agniṣṭoma together with the Ukthya, there are two times one hundred and fifty-three stotriya verses. Then, of the night together with the sandhi-stotra based on the Rathantara, there are one hundred and eighty-nine stotriya verses. Those three that are surplus belong to the male, by which he procreates; those two that are deficient belong to the female, from which she gives birth. The day is indeed the form of the male; the night is that of the female. Thus he places this surplus of the male into that deficiency of the female for copulation, for procreation. He is born as a pair who knows this. Now, the two stotriya verses that are in excess, they are in excess as the two testicles. Yoked together, the Bṛhat and the Rathantara carry the sacrifice. If they were to perform the Ṣoḍaśin here, hemorrhoids or an enlarged navel would be born to them. For if, beside these three surplus [organs] of the male, a fourth were to be born, they would say: 'Hemorrhoids have appeared on him, or an enlarged navel.' Just so what would be born to the female. If someone were to say to those performing the Ṣoḍaśin here: 'Hemorrhoids will be born to them, or an enlarged navel,' so it would indeed happen. Therefore, the Ṣoḍaśin should not be performed here.
