They made the Gāyatrī the right yoke-horse, the Triṣṭubh the left yoke-horse, and the Jagatī the left side-horse.
With it they mounted this world.
They said: 'Long indeed is the journey; let us shift around.'
They made the Jagatī the right yoke-horse, the Gāyatrī the left yoke-horse, and the Triṣṭubh the left side-horse.
With it they mounted this intermediate world.
They said: 'Long indeed is the journey of the gods; let us shift around.'
They made the Triṣṭubh the right yoke-horse, the Jagatī the left yoke-horse, and the Gāyatrī the left side-horse.
With it they mounted that world.
In this way the gods, having yoked the divine horses to the divine chariots, mounted these worlds.
He who knows thus mounts these worlds.
