sa pañcadaśa stomo'bhavat
apare dve ādatta
sa saptadaśa stomo'bhavat
aparāṇi catvāryādatta
sa ekaviṃśa stomo'bhavat
tadardhena gāyatrī viṣuvantamagacchat
aparāṇi ṣaḍādatta
sa triṇava stomo'bhavat
aparāṇi ṣaḍādatta sa trayastriṃśa stomo'bhavat
so'taḥ parācīnaṃ na prāvindat
sa ṣakṣatemānyeva vīryāṇi saṃstutāni pratyapadhāvāni dve dve'hanī samasyānīti

It became the fifteenfold stoma. He took two more; it became the seventeenfold stoma. He took four more; it became the twenty-onefold stoma. With half of it, the Gāyatrī went to the Viṣuvant. He took six more; it became the twenty-sevenfold stoma. He took six more; it became the thirty-threefold stoma. Beyond this, he found nothing. He considered: 'Let me run back to these very vital powers that have been praised; let me combine the days two by two.'
