Regarding this there is this verse:
“Beyond from here, beyond even the beyond, beyond the third or even the fourth,
in the thousand-pillared, firm, formidable hall where the supreme god of the gods sits.”
Now, this one who shines here is indeed that supreme god of the gods.
This is his thousand-pillared, firm, formidable hall: the year, the seasons, the months, the half-months, the days and nights, the dawns.
He who knows this entire twelve-day rite thus turning into the Self, all desires turn toward him.
In the twelve-day rite indeed are all the stomas, all the pṛṣṭhas, all the meters, all the soma pressings, all the cattle, all the gods, all the worlds, all desires.
They depend upon the twelve-day rite; they share in the twelve-day rite; they are satisfied along with the twelve-day rite;
they are accomplished in the twelve-day rite; they are established in the twelve-day rite.
As to this they say: “Since these are only ten days, why then is it called a twelve-day rite?”
He should say: “Because these turn out to be twelve Agniṣṭomas, therefore.”
