It is their milk. / They become two five-syllable groups of five, [making] two Paṅktis. / They are those very cattle. / Its morning pressing has twenty [stotra verses]; the midday pressing has ten; the third pressing has twenty. / Just as a carrying-pole (vivadha) is heavy on both sides, for the state of being a carrying-pole, such is it that the midday pressing has ten [stotra verses]. / Having twenty on both sides, they make the front half and the hind half share in the most. / Therefore cattle share in the most with the front half and the hind half: / they draw with the front half, and they yield milk and bring forth [young] with the hind half. / Both cow-milk and ox-milk he secures who knows thus. / In it they should then use both the Bṛhat and the Rathantara. For twofold indeed are cattle: some belong to the Rathantara, others to the Bṛhat. / Those cattle that have teeth in only one jaw, they belong to the Rathantara; those that have teeth in both jaws, they belong to the Bṛhat. / [It is] for the obtainment of both kinds of cattle. / It is an ukthya; ukthas are cattle, for the obtainment of cattle. / Its Acchāvāka's sāman is the Udveśīya, having the form of all the pṛṣṭhas; pṛṣṭhas indeed are cattle, for the obtainment of cattle according to regular order.
