2-3.87

These indeed are the fortunes of these [beings]. He attains fortune who knows thus. It has fifteen verses. The thunderbolt is fifteen-versed; Indra is the thunderbolt. This sacrifice belongs to Indra; thus it is provided with its characteristic mark. Its midday [pavamāna] is twenty-one-versed. That is its peak. And those who are the best of these worlds are the peaks: Agni is the peak of this world, Vāyu of the intermediate space, Āditya of heaven. He becomes one of the peaks who knows thus. It has the Bṛhat as its pṛṣṭha. Indra is the Bṛhat; the pṛṣṭhas are fortune. They thus make Indra prosperous with fortune. The Ṛṣabha of the Pavamāna and the Ṛṣabha Vaidanvata are the two specified sāmans in the two pavamānas. They thus make the stoma prosperous by its proper form.
