the Saptaha of Jamadagni, the Vidratha, the Cakṣuṣes.
Whichever sāmans have the form of sorcery, those [they arrange].
They thus make the stoma thrive through its proper form.
Moreover, they say: 'One who desires food should sacrifice with it.'
Every other [stoma] out-praises the Virāj.
Only he who praises with ten [stomas] does not out-praise the Virāj.
The Virāj has ten syllables.
The Virāj is food.
[It is] for the attainment of food from the Virāj.
Its pṛṣṭha is the Rathantara; the Rathantara is food, for the attainment of food.
For it they arrange these sāmans: the Arka, the Arkapuṣpa, the Dairghaśravasa—whichever sāmans have the form of food, those [they arrange].
They thus make the stoma thrive through its proper form.
