From a pair that is deficient and redundant, offspring and cattle are born. Thus that procreation is effected. Its pṛṣṭha is the Rathantara. Procreation, verily, is the Rathantara. Thus that procreation is effected. It has twelve stotras. Twelve months are the year. The year is procreation. Thus that procreation is effected. It has twenty-four chants and recitations. Twenty-four half-months are the year. The year is procreation. Thus procreation is effected in regular order. He who knows this multiplies with offspring and cattle. The second day is an all-stoma Atirātra, for the conquest and attainment of all the worlds. For all this is just the stomas. And [they think], 'Having attained together those stomas that we have approached one by one, and having established ourselves in them, may we reach the completion.'
