Now, he whose [rite] has the Jyotiragniṣṭoma, the pṛṣṭhya six-day rite, and the Jyotiragniṣṭoma—he who should desire: 'May I be brilliant, endowed with spiritual luster in this world, may I go to the heavenly world, may I be brilliant, endowed with spiritual luster in yonder world,' should sacrifice with this. In that the Jyotiragniṣṭoma is at the beginning, brilliance and spiritual luster are the Jyotiragniṣṭoma; thereby he becomes brilliant and endowed with spiritual luster in this world. The pṛṣṭhya six-day rite follows; the pṛṣṭhya six-day rite is the heavenly world; by it he goes to the heavenly world. The Jyotiragniṣṭoma is at the end; brilliance and spiritual luster are the Jyotiragniṣṭoma; thereby he becomes endowed with spiritual luster in yonder world. Now, he whose [rite] has the Jyotiratirātra, the pṛṣṭhya six-day rite, and the Jyotiratirātra—he who should desire: 'May I be firmly established in this world, may I go to the heavenly world, may I be firmly established in yonder world,' should sacrifice with this. In that the Jyotiratirātra is at the beginning, a complete support is the Jyotiratirātra; thereby he is firmly established in this world. The pṛṣṭhya six-day rite follows; the pṛṣṭhya six-day rite is the heavenly world; by it he goes to the heavenly world. The Jyotiratirātra is at the end; a complete support is the Jyotiratirātra; thereby he is firmly established in yonder world.
