They announce to the All-Gods: 'We have succeeded.'
Having stepped forward towards the east and looking down at the cātvāla pit, they praise with the Krośa.
When the gods reached the end, their faculty and vital power departed.
They secured it with the Krośa.
Those who reach the completion of the year go, as it were, to the end.
In that they praise with the Krośa, it is for securing faculty and vital power.
Then [they praise with] the Anukrośa.
When the gods were going to the heavenly world by a three-day period, this third day of theirs, the Vairūpa, failed.
Regarding it, there is this verse:
'The gods, dwelling together in the Vairūpa, stood upon that; and that of theirs failed; / having made the sound hiṃ and mounted again, they all shook off old age from their bodies.'
Regarding it, there is this verse:
'When upon the destruction of the Vairūpa, they, making the sound hiṃ midway, halted in their course, / they created that abode of the gods, the sāman; by that the gods went to immortality.'
When they were going to the heavenly world, Vidhātṛ said to his sons: 'Do not pay attention; right here will I arrange you.'
