The Rathantara is this [earth]; the Dairghaśravasa is the intermediate space, for this [is connected to] the Vāmadevya by its finale; the Naudhasa is that [sky] yonder, for this is the body of the Bṛhat. This is the upward arrangement, leading to heaven. By this very arrangement, they ascend upward to the heavenly world. Some make the Rathantara the pṛṣṭha of this day, just as the Rathantara is the pṛṣṭha of the Atirātra, saying: 'The heavenly world is turned away; let us ascend turned away to this heavenly world. It would be a descending if the Rathantara were at the midday [pressing]; therefore, in this way, there is no descent.' But that is turned away, as it were, and not conducive to life, as it were. If someone should curse those who have done so, saying: 'They will become such and such,' they would indeed become so. Therefore, the Bṛhat should indeed be the pṛṣṭha, and the Rathantara at the midday [pressing]. This is its body. This is the fitting arrangement, leading to heaven.
