They praised Agni with it. His own people praise him, strangers praise him, in the community his own people praise him who knows thus. It corresponds to nine twenty-one-fold [stomas]: twelve months, five seasons, these three worlds, and that Āditya is the twenty-first. One stotriyā verse remains over. The sacrificer who knows thus is himself the one that remains over. Just as a light would shine on a mountain, so he shines in whichever community he lives, who knows thus. And it corresponds to twenty-one three-fold [stomas]. Agni is indeed the three-fold [stoma]. Therefore, whatever is three-fold, all that corresponds to Agni alone. Whatever great correspondences there are, and whatever small ones, they all correspond to the one who knows thus. All desires accrue to him who knows thus. This [Agni], with twenty-one three-fold [stomas], is firmly established in that Āditya; that [Āditya], with nine twenty-one-fold [stomas], in this [Agni]. These two are thus firmly established in each other. He who knows thus is firmly established.
