vanas-pate vīḍu-aṅgas hi bhūyās
asmat-sakhā pra-taraṇas su-vīras /
gobhiṣ sam-naddhas asi vīḍayasva
ā-sthātā te jayatu jetvāni //
O tree [chariot], be of firm limbs,
our companion, delivering us safely, with good warriors.
You are bound with cowhides; make yourself strong.
May the one who mounts you win what is to be won.
