jātavedas vapayā gaccha devān
tvam hi hotā prathamas babhūva /
satyā vapā pra-gṛhītā me astu
sam-ṛdhyatām me yat idam karomi //
O Jātavedas, go to the gods with the omentum; / for you were the first Hotṛ. / May the omentum offered by me be true; / may what I do here prosper.
