ekaviṃśam madhyamamaharbhavati asau vā āditya ekaviṃśaḥ so'śvamedhaḥ svenaivainaṃ stomena svāyāṃ devatāyām pratiṣṭhāpayati tasmādekaviṃśam

The central day is an ekavimsa day; for the twenty-one-fold is yonder sun, and he is the Asvamedha: by means of his own Stoma he thus establishes him in his own deity,--therefore it is an ekavimsa day.

Julius Eggeling 1882, The Satapatha-Brahmana according to the Text of the Mâdhyandina School (SBE 12, 26, 41, 43, 44)
