tā vā etāḥ | ṣaḍāhutayo bhavanti ṣaḍvā ṛtavaḥ saṃvatsarasya saṃvatsaro varuṇastasmātṣaḍāhutayo bhavanti
Now these are six oblations; for there are six seasons in the year, and Varuna is the year: hence there are six oblations.
