śáṃ naḥ sū́rya urucákṣā úd etu śáṃ no bhavantu pradíśaś cátasraḥ |
śáṃ naḥ párvatā dhruváyo bhavantu śáṃ naḥ síndhavaḥ śám u santv ā́paḥ ||8||
With weal for us let the wide-looking sun arise; weal for us be the four directions; weal for us be the firm mountains; weal for us the rivers, and weal be the waters.
