áthopadāna bhagavo jā́ṅgiḍā́mitavīrya |
purā́ ta ugrā́ grasata úpéndro vīryàṃ dadau ||8||
So then when thou didst come into being, O jan̄giḍá, ⌊O thou⌋ of unmeasured heroism, Indra of old, O formidable one, ⌊in the beginning (agratás)⌋, gave unto thee heroism.
