tám índraṃ vājayāmasi mahé vr̥trā́ya hántave |
sá vŕ̥ṣā vr̥ṣabhó bhuvat ||1||
We make this Indra show his strength, to strike the mighty Vritra dead: A vigorous Hero shall he be.
