medhā́m aháṃ prathamā́ṃ bráhmaṇvatīṃ bráhmajūtām ŕ̥ṣiṣṭutām |
prápītāṃ brahmacāríbhir devā́nām ávase huve ||2||
I call first, unto the aid of the gods, wisdom filled with bráhman, quickened by bráhman, praised by seers, drunk of (?) by Vedic students.
