úd enam uttaráṃ nayā́gne ghr̥ténāhuta |
sám enaṃ várcasā sr̥ja prajáyā ca bahúṃ kr̥dhi ||1||
Lead him up higher, O Agni, [thou] to whom oblations of ghee are made; unite him with splendor, and make him abundant with progeny.
