Oṃ hrīṃ phaṭ svāhā. Khaṇphaṇmrasi. By the sacred word I curse you; / by the oath of the sacred word I curse you. With the terrible eye of the Bhṛgus I gaze upon you; / with the fierce mind of the Aṅgirases I meditate upon you. With the edge of evil I pierce you; / fall below me, so-and-so! Drive [him] out, O Śimijāvarī; stir [him] up in his bed, drive [him] from the bed; make [him] enter the mountains; scatter [him] towards the rays of light. As soon as the sun rises in the east from here, / so quickly destroy that person who hates us / and whom we hate. / Khaṭ phaṭ, strike! Sever, shatter, slay, break! Such are the harsh words. Homage be to you; do not harm me! Overcome the one who hates me; / lead him to death, O Death! / May Varuṇa and Manyu grant us the combined wealth brought together from both [sides]; / striking fear into their hearts, let the defeated enemies vanish away! Huṃ phaṭ. Oṃ hrīṃ, O you who wear black garments, who have the face of a lion, great Bhairavī, whose tongue is a flash of lightning, fierce-faced Pratyaṅgirā, kśrīṃ kṣmrauṃ, blaze, blaze! Oṃ homage to Nārāyaṇa. Radiance, Sun, Āditya, sahasrāra huṃ phaṭ. Protect what is desired, protect! Shatter the misfortune, shatter, svāhā! Brahmā gave [this] to Nārada, Nārada to Bṛhatsena, Bṛhatsena to Bṛhaspati, Bṛhaspati to Indra, Indra to Bhāradvāja, and Bhāradvāja gave it to the disciples who desired life, kṣīṃ svāhā. Homage to Brahman, homage be to Agni, homage to the earth, homage to the plants. Homage to speech, homage to the Lord of Speech, homage I pay to great Viṣṇu. Oṃ homage to the Blessed One, śrīṃ, to the glorious Mahāgaruḍa, born from the pot of nectar, having adamantine claws, adorned with an adamantine beak and adamantine wings: come, come, Mahāgaruḍa, huṃ phaṭ svāhā! Oṃ hrīṃ duṃ, our fear of the poison from the fangs of snakes, owls, crows, pigeons, scorpions, and of fire, and all the poison of great diseases such as bhūtas, pretas, piśācas, and brahma-rākṣasas—render it poisonless, render it poisonless, svāhā! On the northern bank of the Vindhya is a rākṣasa named Mārīca; / there, with urine and feces, extinguish the fire, extinguish, svāhā! Oṃ āṃ hrīṃ kroṃ, come, come, unto Dattātreya, svāhā! Whichever enemy, mindful of [us], hates us who have known this great knowledge mantra, destroy [him] up to twenty-one times and beyond! / That wise person who constantly resorts to this divine knowledge of Brahman / attains happiness both in this world and the next, without a doubt.
