Oṃ, to the un-terrific, and to the terrific, and to the most terrific of the terrific; / to all, to all Śarvas, homage be to you in your forms as Rudra! / We know that Puruṣa; we meditate on the curved-trunked one; may that tusked one impel us! / We know that Puruṣa; we meditate on the leader of the great army; may that six-faced one impel us! / We know that Puruṣa; we meditate on the golden-winged one; may that Garuḍa impel us! / We know the soul of the Veda; we meditate on Hiraṇyagarbha; may that Brahman impel us! / We know Nārāyaṇa; we meditate on Vāsudeva; may that Viṣṇu impel us! / We know the diamond-clawed one; we meditate on the sharp-fanged one; may that Nārasiṃha impel us! / We know the sun; we meditate on the maker of great light; may that Āditya impel us! / We know Vaiśvānara; we meditate on the playful one; may that Agni impel us! / We know Kātyāyana; we meditate on Kanyakumārī; may that Durgi impel us! / We know Sadāśiva; we meditate on the thousand-eyed one; may that Sāmba impel us! / We know Kṣetrapāla; we meditate on the sharp-fanged one; may that Bhairava impel us! / We know the descendant of Raghu; we meditate on the beloved of Sītā; may that Rāma impel us! / We know Kulakumārī; we meditate on the Kaula god; may that Kaula impel us! / We know Kālikā; we meditate on the dweller in the cremation ground; may that Aghora impel us! / Oṃ aiṃ hrīṃ śrīṃ, we know Ānandeśvara and we meditate on the goddess of nectar; / may that Ardhanārīśvara impel us! / Eṃ, we know Vāgīśvarī and klīṃ, we meditate on Kāmeśvarī; / may that klīṃ impel us! / Aiṃ, we know the goddess Tripurā and klīṃ, we meditate on Kāmeśvarī; / sauḥ, may that Śakti impel us! / We know Haṃsa-haṃsa; we meditate on "I am Haṃsa"; may that Haṃsa impel us! / We know the king of yantras; we meditate on the great yantra; may that yantra impel us! / We know the king of tantras; we meditate on the great tantra; may that tantra impel us! / We know the king of mantras; we meditate on the great mantra; may that mantra impel us! / From whatever we fear, O Indra, make us free from fear from that! / O generous one, be able to grant us your aid; slay the hostile assailants!
