Vernacular: O woman whose gait is like that of a swan! A verse whose first half and second half are both like the first half of an āryā metre, O sweet-speaking woman, those who know the science of metrics call that the gīti metre; that is to say, one should know that a verse which has twelve morae in the first and third quarter-verses, and eighteen in the second and fourth quarter-verses, is the gīti metre.
