śuci śuklamanārdramācchādya pavitrapāṇirācāntaḥ sandhyāmupāsyātha kṛtāgnikāryo devamāvāhayet \

Wearing a pure, clean, dry garment, with a strainer in his hand, having sipped water, having attended upon the twilight devotion, and having performed the fire ritual, he should invoke the deity.
