Gobhilagṛhyasūtra 1.8.12

yady u pañcāvattī syād, dvir upastīryā 'vadāya, dvir abhighārayet;
But if he (belongs to the families who) make five Avadânas, he should 'spread under' twice, and cut off (the Avadâna), and sprinkle (Âgya) on it twice.
