sarvatrā 'cāriṣaṃ, tad aśakaṃ, tenā 'rātsam, upāgām iti mantraviśeṣaḥ.

The Mantra has to be altered everywhere (so that he has to say), 'I have kept (the vow),' 'I have been able,' 'Thereby I have prospered,' 'I have undergone.'
