śravaṇām eka upākṛtyai 'tam ā sāvitrāt kālaṃ kāṅkṣante.

Some perform the Upâkarana on the full-moon day of Srâvana and wait (with studying) the time (from that day) till the day sacred to Savitri (Sûtra 9).
