savyenai 'va pāṇino 'lmukaṃ gṛhītvā dakṣiṇārdhe karṣūṇāṃ nidadhyād ye rūpāṇi pratimuñcamānā iti;

Seizing, again with his left hand, a fire-brand, he should place it on the south side of the pits with (the verse), 'They who assuming (manifold) shapes' (ibid. 4).
