5.2.9

turīyamadhvano gatvātrainaṃ nipātyāsya nediṣṭhāḥ kaniṣṭhaprathamāḥ savyānkeśānudgathya savyānūrūnāghnānāḥ sigbhirabhidhūnvantaḥ trirapasalaṃ parītya tadviparyāsamevameva pradakṣiṇam \9\

Having gone a fourth of the way, having laid him down there, his nearest relatives, beginning with the youngest, having untied the hair on their left side, striking their left thighs, fanning [him] with the borders of their garments, walking counter-clockwise three times, [do] likewise in reverse, clockwise.
