cittiḥ srugadhvaryo hotā cittamājyamadhvaryurāmantrayate hotarbrahma vadi-ṣyāva ityuccaistarāṃ tathādhvaryo iti tiṣṭhati

Thought is the offering ladle, O adhvaryu; the hotṛ is the thinking mind; the clarified butter is the adhvaryu. He addresses: "Hotṛ, let the two of us speak the sacred word!" [The hotṛ] stands [saying] higher, "So be it, O adhvaryu!"
