Alternatively, what is referred to here is that which is expressly taught in the rule, having undergone doubling by 'uparyadhyadhasaḥ sāmīpye'; therefore, when doubling occurs to express pervasion, this [rule] does not apply.
He states: 'It is also seen elsewhere'; he shows that: 'abhitaḥ paritaḥ', etc.
Regarding 'pratibhāti': this word 'prati', because it qualifies an action, is a verbal prefix, not a karmapravacanīya.
Regarding 'antarā tvāṃ mām': the meaning is 'between you and me'.
