ātāṃ bāḷācāṃ hitīṃ stanya |
jaiseṃ nānābhūtīṃ caitanya |
taiseṃ prāṇimātrīṃ saujanya |
ārjava teṃ ||
Now, as mother's milk is for the child's good, / or as pure consciousness is in diverse beings, / so gentleness toward all living beings / is uprightness.
