iṃdriyeṃ viṣaya sevitī |
tetha harṣa śoku upajatī |
te aṃtara āplavitī |
saṃge ṃyeṇeṃ ||
The senses indulge in sense-objects; / through that, joy and sorrow arise, / and they inundate the inner self / by means of this association.
