to udakāceni baḷeṃ adhikeṃ |
jaisā āḍaveni āṃge phāṃke |
taisā mānasīṃ viṣo pokhe |
rasanādvāreṃ ||
Just as it spreads with thick branches / by the abounding strength of the water, / so the sense object is nourished in the mind / through the gate of the tongue.
