savarma hṛdayakalhārīṃ |
tetha kāruṇyaveḷecyā bharīṃ |
lāgalā mhaṇoni laharī |
bhāṃjeci nā ||
At the vulnerable spot in the lotus of his heart, / there, with the full rush of the tide of compassion, / it struck him, and therefore the waves [of poison] / did not cease.
