to kāmanāmātreṃ na ghepe |
mohamaḷe na liṃpeṃ |
jaiseṃ jaḷīṃ jaḷeṃ na śiṃpe |

he is not seized by mere desire, / nor stained by the impurity of delusion, / just as a lotus leaf in water / is never moistened by the water.
