te veḷīṃ prajīṃ vinavilā brahmā |
devā āśrayo kāya etha āmhāṃ |
taṃva mhaṇe to kamaḷajanmā |
bhūtāṃprati ||
At that time the creatures prayed to Brahmā: / “O Lord, what is our refuge here?” / Then he who was born of the lotus / said to the creatures:
